All pools are closed in line with Victorian Government restrictions

When will pools reopen?

On Sunday 19 September the Victorian Government announced its phased Roadmap to Deliver the National Plan which includes Victoria’s plan for easing restrictions.

When vaccination thresholds are reached, and public health advice allows certain restrictions will be safely lifted and we can begin to return our services to you.

As we get closer to reaching the threshold of each phase of the plan, additional information will be provided regarding the services planned to return.

Resumption dates will be subject to confirmation from the Victorian Government that we have reached the threshold requirements to safely reopen and will allow appropriate time for us to prepare the venue and ensure the right systems are in place.

Expected reopening dates for pools

  • Tuesday 26 October (Phase B)
    •  Fitzroy Swimming Pool main pool and toddler pool
  • Friday 5 November (Phase C)
    • Richmond Recreation Centre and Collingwood Leisure Centre
    • Spa, sauna, steam rooms and change rooms open at all venues

What will returning look like?

What we do know, is that there will still be restrictions in place for some time, including capacity limits, mandatory masks and a QR check-in process.

When returning to our venues you must follow our directions and adhere to Victorian Government restrictions at all times. This ensures we all stay safe and our venues can remain open for everyone to enjoy.

We will keep you updated with relevant information as we return to full service.

Vaccinations

We continue to support the Victorian Government’s vaccination plan, as the full resumption and access of our services is dependent on increasing vaccination rates.

We will provide more information when it’s available, as we are awaiting support from the Victorian Government to ensure we have the right systems in place.

But wait, I have more questions!

If you have any more questions and you can't find the answers on our Road to Reopen hub, email us at yarraleisure@yarracity.vic.gov.au
We will continue to update this page as more information becomes available.
