We've partnered with ActiveXchange to better understand, measure and increase our positive social impact on the community.

Using real-time data, the ActiveXchange Social Value Report evaluates and quantifies the social value generated by our programs, helping us understand our outcomes and create more targeted services.

The results highlight the value of our centres, with reduced community health care costs and improved wellbeing outcomes.

Results from the report show that for the financial year 2022/23, our leisure centres have contributed an impressive $13.6 million in community savings.

Our top four community savings indicators are:

1. Mental health benefits – $3,774,885 (27.6%)
2. Reduced risk of drowning – $2,126,235 (15.6%)
3. Improved educational outcomes – $1,838,812 (13.5%)
4. Health system savings – $1,730,149 (12.7%)

The ActiveXchange Social Value Model assesses a wide range of social value indicators including reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, bowel cancer, type 2 diabetes and dementia, as well as mental health benefits, health system savings, increased productivity, increased educational outcomes and reduced risk of drowning.

We will use data from the ActiveXchange Social Value Report to meet the changing needs of the community with the aim of creating a healthier, happier, and more prosperous community.
