Congratulations to our lifeguards Sam, Justin, Mai and Kate who participated in the 2019 Life Saving Victoria Pool Lifeguard Challenge on Friday 23 August. Our team were awarded 2nd place out of 18 teams from centres across Victoria.

They competed against 68 other lifeguards in wet and dry scenarios, relays and a theory examination which were designed to test the teams against a range of emergency situations that they may face at their own facility and put their skills into practice. The team stayed composed, demonstrated great teamwork, technical abilities and effective communication skills.

Their success at this years’ challenge follows our championship win at the 2018 Pool Lifeguard Challenge. It’s great to see our lifeguards upholding Yarra Leisure to an exceptional standard by demonstrating their outstanding skills and capabilities year after year.
