Fitzroy Pool is Melbourne's iconic 50-metre outdoor heated pool. Our pool is a favourite summer playground for all Melbournians.

We also have an outdoor toddler pool and a spa, sauna and steam room. Fitzroy's facilities also include a gym and group fitness studio.

In the 1990s, amazing community activism saved the pool from closure. Our famous Aqua Profonda sign is heritage listed, honouring our multicultural history.

How do I get to Fitzroy Swimming Pool?

Fitzroy Swimming Pool is on Alexandra Parade, Fitzroy. We are between Brunswick Street and Smith Street, on the corner of Young Street.

When is Fitzroy Swimming Pool open? 

Please note that the 50m pool and group exercise room will be closed to the public from 5.45pm on Friday 28 February to 7pm on Saturday 29 February as we host a 24 hour charity swim to raise money for people living with multiple sclerosis. The 50m pool will reopen to the public at 8am on Sunday 1 March. Find out more about the closure.
