Yarra Leisure is proudly supporting Laps for Life!

Laps for Life is all about supporting young people in Australia living with mental health difficulties. Far too many of them don’t seek help and suicide remains the leading cause of death of young people in Australia.

Laps for Life takes place from 1 to 31 March, and you can swim at any time throughout the month. Whether it's freestyle, backstroke, butterfly or doggy-paddle, just get swimming! You’ll improve your own mental health and support the mental health of young people.

When you sign up (for FREE) and join the Yarra Leisure team, you’ll commit to a swimming challenge for the month of March – whether you’re just starting out, or aiming for a personal best. Getting under the water multiple times each week, you’ll enjoy amazing mental and physical health benefits.

But more than that, your fundraising will save lives. Every dollar helps raise awareness and funds for youth mental health to help the more than 1 in 3 young people in Australia experiencing mental health difficulties.

Are there prizes for participating in the challenge?

The team at Laps for Life have some amazing rewards available to acknowledge your involvement and support, you can view these online.

We’re also giving away prizes to individuals that join the Yarra Leisure team. The prizes are:

• 3 x 1 month Yarra Leisure membership of your choice (credit for current members). Prize awarded to individuals that swim the most kilometres; first, second and third.
• 3 x 1 month Yarra Leisure membership of your choice (credit for current members). Prize awarded to individuals that raise the most funds; first, second and third.
• 5 x Yarra Leisure prize packs including Speedo equipment mesh bag, drink bottle and goggles. Random prize draw.
• 5 x Adult or Child 10 swim passes. Random prize draw

Terms and conditions:

• 1 prize per person.
• Must be a member of Yarra Leisure’s Laps for Life team.
• Random prize draw will be conducted the week of Monday 3 April 2023.
• Winners will be contacted directly and published on the news section of our website.
