From 6pm Friday 26 February to 7pm Saturday 27 February 2021, Fitzroy Swimming Pool will host the Fitzroy MS 24 Hour Mega Swim. The MS 24 Hour Mega Swim is a fun team relay event, suitable for any level of swimmer.

The 50m pool will be closed to the public from 5.45pm Friday 26 February to 7pm Saturday 27 February. The 50m pool will reopen to the public at 7am Sunday 28 February. The gym, toddler pool, spa, sauna and steam room will remain open. 

The MS 24 Hour Mega Swim is a fun team relay event where teams have a swimmer in the water for the entire 24 hours and compete for laps swum and money raised, in support for people living with multiple sclerosis.

People of all ages and abilities can take part in the event, with each team creating a roster to suit each swimmer. Some swim for 10 minutes, others for 4 hours! The MS 24 Hour Mega Swim is a competition with points awarded to each team (1 point for every $10 raised and 1 point for every 500m swim).
