Swim 

What services are available?

In line with Victorian State Government guidelines we are only able to offer lap swimming and water exercise and rehabilitation at this time. 

Our main pools will open as follows:

  • Monday 22 June: Collingwood Leisure Centre 25m pool
  • Monday 29 June: Richmond Recreation Centre 50m pool
  • Monday 6 July: Fitzroy Swimming Pool 50m pool

What are the opening hours?

Our opening hours for all centres are:

  • Monday to Friday: 6am to 9pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7am to 7pm

How much is a swim session?

Member

  • Adult $4.20
  • Concession $2.10
  • Youth (14-17) $2.10

Casual 

  • Adult $7.10
  • Concession $4.20
  • Youth (14-17) $3.60

What is Water Exercise and Rehabilitation? 

  • Water Exercise and Rehabilitation is for activities such as walking, running or rehabilitation exercises.
  • These sessions are not for lap swimming or aqua play.
  • You must be 14 years or over to book.

When are Water Exercise and Rehabilitation sessions being offered? 

Collingwood sessions:

  • Mondays: 9am, 10am and 11am
  • Wednesdays: 5pm, 6pm and 7pm
  • Saturdays: 1pm and 2pm. 

Richmond sessions:

  • Tuesdays: 7am, 8am and 9am
  • Thursdays: 11am, 12pm and 1pm
  • Sundays: 8am, 9am and 10am.

Fitzroy sessions:

  • Wednesdays: 8am, 9am and 10am 
  • Fridays: 6am, 7am and 8am
  • Saturdays: 10am, 11am and 12pm. 

Who can book a swim?

Anyone with a confirmed booking can attend our facilities if they feel comfortable in doing so. 

How many people can attend each swim session? 

We currently have a limit of 20 people per session. 

When will swimming lessons resume?

Unfortunately we wont be back for Term 3 lessons and we currently don't have a return date as restrictions remain in place.  

As we plan for the easing of restrictions we're exploring options for a safe return to our Learn to Swim program so we can get our students back in the pool as soon as possible. 

When classes resume, we expect that our program will look a little different until we can safely return to regular programming. 

When will non-lap swimming activities be allowed in the pool? (i.e. recreational swimming, aqua classes, swimming squads etc) 

With current restrictions in place we are not able to facilitate aquatic activities other than lap swimming and water exercise and rehabilitation. 

As soon as we have an expected return date for these activities we will let you know. 

Can I use a kick board, pool noodle or any other shared equipment?

No, we are not allowing the use of our shared swimming equipment at this time. However if you have your own swimming equipment at home, your are welcome to bring it along to your swim session!

Booking, prices and cancellations 

Please DO NOT proceed with your booking if: 

  • you live in one of the 10 postcodes that are now under Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions (3012, 3021, 3032, 3038, 3042, 3046, 3047, 3055, 3060, 3064)
  • you are feeling unwell OR if have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

How do I book?

Before you're able to book a session, you'll need to activate your profile.

If you're a member, multi visit pass holder or aquatic programs member you will have an account set up for you. You will need to log in using your email that we have on your existing account and select ‘forgot password’ to create a new password so that you can access the portal.

If you haven’t visited us before, or do not have an existing account with us, you will need to create a free account

Not sure if you have an account? 

  1. Select 'forgot password' at the login screen
  2. You will be prompted to type in your email and select 'submit'
  3. If you have an account, you will receive a email to reset your password. If you do not have an account, a message will appear stating 'email address not found'. If this happens, proceed back to the login screen and create a free account

I need help with 'My Account'

My Account is where you can login to the online portal and read our booking instructions to guide you through the booking system and troubleshoot any issues you may experience.

Will you be accepting walk-ins? 

No, you must book in advance using our online booking system. If you don’t have a booking you cannot enter any of our centres.

How long do bookings open before a session?

Bookings open 72 hours prior to a session and close 1 hour prior to a session. If a booking is not open yet, our online booking systems will show you that it is “too soon to book”.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel up to 12 hours prior to your session and retain the value of the booking as a credit on your account.

What if a session is booked out?

If a session is booked out you will notice that it says “fully booked”, if someone cancels a spot may open up so feel free to check back!

Can people with disability attend a session with their carer?

People with disability are able to attend a session with or without a carer as needed, if you require your carer to attend with you please call us on 9205 5522.

If for any reason I am unable to use the online booking system, how can I book?

All bookings must be made via our online booking system, this is for contact tracing purposes.

Do I need to bring my concession card with me?

Yes if you have purchased any of our concession sessions then you will need to bring your concession card!

Can children book in for a swim session?

Only young people aged 14 or older can book in for a swim session at this time.

What happens with my membership? 

Memberships will continue to be paused for all services for the foreseeable future. We will notify you well in advance when we expect to resume direct debit payments for our members. 

What happens with my visit pass?

You will be able to use your multi visit swim pass to book a swim session via our online booking system.

Amenities and Hygiene 

Can I use the change rooms, showers and toilets? 

You will have access to change rooms and toilets but not showers, please take this into account when packing and prepping for your session. WorkSafe guidelines indicate that communal showers must be cleaned after each use, we have therefore decided not to allow access to showers due to time constraints between sessions. 

Can I use the spa, sauna and steam areas?

No, these areas will be closed until further notice due to Victorian State Government restrictions. 

What else has changed around the centres?

A range of new restrictions and measures are in place such as:

  • The member entry at Richmond will be closed for now. Please enter via the main entry on Gleadell Street. 
  • No use of lockers – please avoid bringing valuables into the centre where possible. 
  • No use of drinking fountains 
  • No cash payments 
  • No purchasing of swimwear

What can I purchase from reception?

We will be selling drinks and essential items (i.e. goggles, swimming caps and single-use towels).

Please be aware, will only be accepting contactless payments via card, no cash. 

How are you keeping me safe?

We are implementing a range of new measures to help keep you safe during your visit:

  • We’ll have physical distancing signage throughout our centres to help you keep your distance with staff and other customers. 
  • We’ve trained our staff about physical distancing to ensure that they are able to enforce these measures.
  • We’ll follow capacity regulations from the Victorian State Government at all times.
  • We will be conducting regular deep cleaning of high contact surfaces throughout the day.
  • We will have sanitiser and wipe stations throughout our centres for you to use.

Gym

When will the gyms reopen? 

Our gyms are currently closed. All gyms will reopen Monday 13 July.

What services will be available from Monday 13 July?

In our first phase of reopening we’ll be running:

  • 45 minute gym sessions each hour (20 people max)
  • 45 minute functional circuit training sessions (10 people max),and
  • We’ll also be offering personal training and some of our much loved community programs in the studio at Richmond.

What happens with my membership? 

Memberships will continue to be paused for all services for the foreseeable future. We will be introducing a casual and reduced member pay as you go entry fee, which is yet to be announced. 

We will notify you well in advance when we expect to resume direct debit payments for our members. 

Classes

When will group exercise classes return?  

Group exercise classes are currently not running. 

Group exercise classes will return following the successful reopening of our core gym services. Stay tuned for updates. 

What happens with my membership? 

Memberships will continue to be paused for all services for the foreseeable future. We will be introducing a casual and reduced member pay as you go entry fee, which is yet to be announced.
