Robyn wins ARV swim teacher award
Wednesday 09 February 2022
We’re very proud to announce that our brilliant, creative and dedicated swim teacher Robyn Gosbell, has been awarded the Swim Teacher for Infants, Babies and Preschool Award at the Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) awards on Friday 28 January 2022.
Robyn is a highly respected and sought-after Swim teacher here at Yarra Leisure, with many requests for students to be placed with her every term. Robyn’s popularity speaks volumes about the masterful way she connects with and empowers our youngest students.
It’s not only her work in the pool that shines, throughout months of COVID closures Robyn worked tirelessly to keep children connected to their swimming. She wrote, illustrated and recorded readings of multiple picture books about the joy and wonder of swimming lessons and the bravery of children who make a splash! These story times were watched and loved by many of our Swim School students who were missing their time in the pool.
We’re so lucky to have people like Robyn working with us, inspiring and empowering her colleagues and community to be passionate and impactful every day.
We’d also like to acknowledge and honour the hard work of our other Yarra Leisure nominees who consistently display integrity and dedication.
