Learn to Swim program update

Tuesday 30 June 2020

We know many of our Learn to Swim students are missing their swimming lessons and we understand it’s a very important part of our student's lives. That's why we're here with an update!

Unfortunately we wont be back for Term 3 lessons and we currently don't have a return date as restrictions remain in place.

As we plan for the easing of restrictions we're exploring options for a safe return to our Learn to Swim program so we can get our students back in the pool as soon as possible.

When classes resume, we expect that our program will look a little different until we can safely return to regular programming.

What might be different?

  • reduced lesson availability throughout the week
  • lesson capacity limits
  • adjusted teaching techniques
  • limited use of equipment
  • practicing physical distancing where possible, in adherence with guidelines
  • safety and cleaning measures
  • a program enrolment fee.

What will happen with current enrolments?

Whether you're enrolled upfront or via direct debit, your enrolment is currently paused and you will not be charged during this period. Your enrolment will remain paused until our full Learn to Swim program returns, we will give you plenty of notice before we resume payments.

Learn to Swim at home

While lessons are still on hold, you can still sing, dance, laugh and SWIM with our wonderful swim resources for kids in our Wellness Locker.

Suitable for children 4 to 12 years, we’ve got your at-home swimming fun covered with videos and tips from Life Saving Victoria and from our very own Yarra Leisure instructors, so you and your family can stay healthy and keep learning from anywhere!

How do I find out more information?

When we have more information we will update you in our Road to Reopen hub, on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and your emails for announcements (if you're currently enrolled).
