We're a Quality Accredited Business of the Year finalist

Tuesday 10 March 2020

Fitness Australia CEO Barrie Elvish presenting Yarra Leisure's Quality Accreditation certificates to Toby Newman Acting Health and Fitness Coordinator, Yarra City Council Mayor Cr Danae Bosler, Yarra City Council CEO VJ Vaidyanath, Chris Leivers Director City Works & Asset, and Kerry Irwin Manager Recreation and Leisure Services.

We're extremely proud to have 3 of our leisure centres nominated for the Quality Accredited Business of the Year Award 2020 alongside 19 other national finalists.

In July 2019 our very own Collingwood Leisure Centre, Fitzroy Swimming Pool and Richmond Recreation Centre achieved Quality Accreditation with Fitness Australia, becoming 3 of just 19 facilities at the time holding the accreditation across Australia.

We saw the opportunity to be awarded the Fitness Australia Quality Accreditation as an invaluable way to demonstrate our commitment and professionalism to our community and to strive for continuous quality improvement with the support of Fitness Australia.

The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on Friday 1 May.

What is the Fitness Quality Accreditation?

The Quality Accreditation Program by Fitness Australia, the national peak fitness industry association, is designed to continuously build on the quality of a fitness business, with customer care, safety and service being the ultimate goal.

The program is the first continuous quality improvement program, designed for gyms, fitness centres, fitness businesses and clubs in Australia.

The program focuses on key elements of running a business and addresses any issues that may arise. The primary aim is to ensure consistent standards and service delivery are met, and where possible exceed the customers' expectations.
