Construction works near Richmond Recreation Centre

On Monday 24 September 2018, Yarra City Council commenced construction work to build a pedestrian crossing in Gleadell Street, Richmond.

The works are taking place on Gleadell Street, between Bridge Road and Highett Street.

The project is expected to take 2 to 3 weeks to complete, subject to weather conditions, with construction taking place Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm.

During the works period please note that:

  • parking will not be available within the work zone. Limited parking will be available in the surrounding area
  • an appropriate traffic management plan will be in place to ensure that traffic can flow through Gleadell Street during working hours.
  • a full road closure will be in place from Wednesday 3 October to Friday 5 October with diversions for drivers and cyclists 
  • ramp and pedestrian access to Richmond Recreation Centre will be available throughout the works.

We will keep you updated on any changes as the works progress.
